Organic Instagram Growth: 5 Insanely Easy Ways to Get More Organic Followers

Hi friends & welcome back to the blog! Today I am going to share with you 5 insanely easy ways to get more organic followers for organic Instagram growth.

If you’re anything like me – you’ve tried it all. You’ve utilized follow trains and loops, participated in giveaways, networked, and more – and still little to no growth on Instagram.

Well, you’re in the right place today because I am going to share with you my top 5 tips for actual organic Instagram growth.

Before we get started, I want you to check out these recent posts of mine that I just know you will love:

Now, let’s get to it!

Organic Instagram Growth: 5 Insanely Easy Ways to Get More Organic Followers

1. Focus on Content

I have a question for you. Think of the last person you followed on Instagram. Why did you follow them? Was it because of their amazing bio? Their incredibly appealing grid layout? Their username?

Chances are, it wasn’t any of these things. More than likely, you followed them because you came across them and loved their content. That’s right – their content was what drew you in and caused you to hit that “Follow” button.

So, it should be no surprise to you that content is actually the key to organically growing your Instagram.

Content is key to growth on Instagram – if you want to grow organically.

Your content is truly all that matters.

I can’t tell you how many people I follow whose grid layouts, bios, and stories are less than perfect – so many! You’re probably the same.

But why do we follow them? Because they produce the kind of content we are in the market for.

So, going forward, focus on your content. Make it the best you possibly can make it. It will pay off, quickly.

If you want to learn exactly how to focus on your content and build it to be the best it can be, including proven strategies and tools, check out my Organic Instagram Growth Made Easy ebook. All the answers are there!

2. Learn Hashtags

Have you ever felt completely clueless when it comes to the world of hashtags? I know I have. For months I had no idea what I was doing when it came to including hashtags on my posts. I would include 30 hashtags that I liked and call it a day.

That is not the right way to go about including hashtags in your posts! You should really be researching hashtags for your niche and including relevant hashtags of varying numbers of followers within each post – and not always using the entire 30 that Instagram allows.

If you’re clueless about hashtag research, I highly recommend my book “Organic Instagram Growth Made Easy.” There is an entire chapter dedicated to easy steps you can take to master hashtag research in order to implement it for maximum organic Instagram growth!

3. Use Planoly

Here’s the thing: I have been manually uploading my posts to Instagram for the majority of my time on the platform. It was not until recent months that I started using a visual planning tool, Planoly, to create my content and schedule my posts.

But let me tell you something – my numbers have sky-rocketed since starting with Planoly. I have grown so much organically that it makes me wish I would have started using Planoly a long time ago. Really.

Here’s why I think this has happened: for starters, I have finally been able to plan my content out day-by-day, subject- by-subject. Instead of “flying by the seat of my pants,” I have carefully created content that flows together and is seamless in its delivery.

I think my followers have noticed this too – that or it’s a great coincidence – because I have received so much more engagement than I ever have received before since using Planoly.

If you are new to the world of visual planning for Instagram, please check out Planoly today. You will not regret it! (They do have a free option which works perfectly fine!)

4. Be Consistent

Consistency is key to growing your Instagram. Consistency is what provides for your followers day after day – what gives them exactly what they need, and what they are looking forward to, over and over again. Without consistency, you have nothing.

I’m going to make this part very simple for you: do whatever it takes to remain consistent in your Instagram posting (of both posts and stories).

If you want to grow organically, consistency is key.

Your followers have followed you for a reason (for your content) and remain your followers for a reason (your consistency). So, your best bet is to stay consistent with your posting.

A note on consistency: consistency is different for every person. For some, it may mean posting 3 times a week. For others, it may mean posting 2 times a day. Whatever consistency looks like for you, stick with it. It will pay off.

If you want to learn more about exactly how to stay consistent on Instagram, and strategies that help you in doing so, check out my book “Organic Instagram Growth Made Easy.” There is an entire chapter dedicated to consistency!

5. Be You

I know this last one may sound cheesy, but it’s true: be you.

In a world where you can be anyone, be you – especially on social media.

Sure, you may want to utilize strategies and tools others are using on their platforms, but ultimately, followers will find you based on you being you.

Give them what they want (YOU) and deliver to them consistently.

The more I have shown my authentic self on Instagram, the more followers I have received. In fact, I made a pact to be completely open and honest on Instagram (regardless of topic) and since then (approximately 4 weeks ago), I have grown over 1,000 followers. Just from being me.

Be you. It will pay off.

Take Aways

These 5 tips are truly what I have utilized in the past several months to gain such a great amount of new followers. What I love most about them is that they seriously help with organic Instagram growth – the type of growth that will sustain over time.

I’m finding it overwhelming to post on IG. A scheduler would be a great solution for me but I heard IG doesn’t like when people do that and they’ll not put your info in as prominent of a position. I also need to research hashtags. Thanks for the tips!

Instagram is such a unicorn to me… I post but not regularly. I have to get better. I pinned for later, once I have a minute to do what you suggest. Thank you!
