Blogging as a Career: The 3-Step Powerful Roadmap You Must Know to be Successful

Hi friends & welcome back to the blog! Today I want to talk to you about blogging as a career – and the 3-step powerful roadmap that you must know in order to bring your part-time blog to the field of full-time careers.

As many of you know, I am (relatively) new to the blogging business. I started my blog in October 2019. However, because of the hundreds of hours of research I have put in to making the most of blogging as a career, I have learned enough to be super successful in a very short time.

If you want to know more about my actual success (in terms of numbers, figures, etc.), please read this post now. If you want to know more about how I have become successful (the strategies I’ve used to do so), this post is for you.

Also, before we get started, I want to tell you about my brand new book that just hit the stands on Amazon a few days ago. My book is called “Make That Money, Honey!” and is a book for bloggers who want to turn their blogging as a career into a sustainable profit and who want to become professionals in the industry.

My book goes through 19 chapters and includes “secret” information that most bloggers do not like to give out (I am simply different, I don’t mind sharing because I feel that my success should be shared with you to encourage your success!).

In the book, I go over SEO, Facebook Groups for business, affiliate marketing, ad placement, sponsorships, and so much more. It truly is the last book you’ll ever have to purchase in order to figure out how to get to the next level of blogging! You can purchase it by going here now!

Now, let’s get into the post!

Blogging as a Career: The 3-Step Powerful Roadmap You Must Know to be Successful

The Biz Model for Pros

business models for professionals

The “Biz Model for Pros,” short for “Business Model for Professionals,” is something I heard of long ago from a good friend of mine who was (at that time) a businesswoman.

She told me at that time that she had heard years ago that there is a very simple model to follow for becoming a business professional (no matter the industry you are in).

I was eager to hear, even though I was not blogging as a career at that point.

The Three Levels of Success

Simply put, she told me that there were three levels that you should strive for, in order, for success in blogging as a career: Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced. Plain and simple.

The first level is “Basic.” Very basic, right? This level consists of your starting point – the place where you begin your business.

For me, it was my blog. My blog was the catalyst to the world of business for me personally.

My blog is where it all began (well, technically it all began on YouTube in 2014 – but I’ll save that story for another day). I began my blog in October of 2019, eager to write after years of having put it off. At that time, I didn’t have a clear vision for where I was headed – I simply wanted to write and in doing so, help out women and mothers much like myself.

This Basic level is the level in which you have one medium (or maybe a couple if you include Instagram & Pinterest, etc.). Typically, for bloggers, that medium is your blog.

All of your time and energy is spent on your blog & creating content for your blog. Remember – this is the very first level of all three – the beginning level of blogging as a career. We all have to start somewhere!

It was shortly after beginning my blog that I realized that my friend’s three levels of success were oh so true – and that I needed a plan – immediately.

“A dream without a plan is like a sailboat without water – it may be pretty, but it goes nowhere.”

The second level is “Intermediate.” This level is the one you reach when you realize that your medium from the Basic level will only get you so far – so if you want to be successful and make money on your journey, you must graduate to the Intermediate Level as soon as possible – and start planning for it sooner than later.

The Intermediate level is the one where, for someone blogging as a career, things such as online courses, e-books, products, and overall business awareness (people knowing who you are) come into play. This is the level I am on right now – and I am so happy to be here!

Within this level, you are pushing out content left and right, keeping up with not only your blog, but also your social media channels, content for your e-book or online course, and trying to get your name out there as often as possible.

This is the level where you begin to make money blogging as a career (if you’re doing it right – and I go into how to do it right in my book).

business level advanced

Advanced” is the level you reach when your success is sweeter than ever – and both your life and your wallet agree.

This is the level where you are less active on your blog and in your ebooks and online courses and are, at this point, scheduling and planning seminars for a wider audience, holding summits, planning and holding retreats, engaging in public speaking, and are successful in your brand awareness (anyone in the business knows who you are).

For many, you may be aware of people such as Rachel Hollis, or Lindsay Teague Moreno – they are at the Advanced level.

Advanced should be your ultimate goal when you are blogging as a career – and should have a deeper underlying purpose than the two proceeding levels.

To Sum It Up

Should you stop once you reach Advanced? Not necessarily. Many can go beyond advanced into greater things such as the New York Times Best Selling Books, TV Shows, etc. But for many, advanced is the final level – and one that will last a long time.

Advanced, for all intent and purposes, was the level I had in mind when creating my book for those wishing to begin blogging as a career. I want you to read the book and be able to slowly but surely promote yourself from Basic to Intermediate to Advanced – and I give you the tools to start that process in my book.

Inside the book, we work together to make sure your eyes are focused on Advanced and that, even though it may be a ways away from you, you know how to get there step by step.

I am sure this business model – the Biz Model for Pros – helped you in determining where you are at now and where you want to be in the future.

If you are new to blogging, make sure you have your blog set up properly before considering which level you are at. You can read this post to do so.

If you are not so new at blogging, I highly recommend you purchasing my book today so that you can set off on a path to Advanced as soon as possible!

Tell me in the comments below, what level are you at now? What is the next level you are striving for and how are you striving for it?

This is very useful information. My blog is still young, so I guess that I am at the Basic level. I am working hard to bring it to a higher level.
