6 Easy Ways to Grow Your Blogging Business during Social Distancing
Social distancing. It’s not exactly a walk in the park, right? But here’s the thing: right now, you have time to make your business (blog, social media, etc.) exactly what you’ve always wanted it to be.
You have time to focus on the important things and the other little things. You have time to monetize & do it the right way.
So, here are a few tips for you to consider doing now, while you have the time. Email me or leave a comment below if you want more info on monetization!

6 Easy Ways to Grow Your Blogging Business during Social Distancing
1. Offer Your Readers FREE Resources
Now’s the time to make that free printable you’ve been putting off or to build that FREE Resource Library you’ve been wanting to build! – but make sure your resources connect to a greater picture both for your business (something that can be monetized) and for the reader (something of true value).
2. Write Content that Your Readers Can Truly Use Right Now
For instance, activities for children to do indoors, how to spring clean room by room, ways to organize finances, etc. I recently wrote a post on Staying Calm During a Crisis because it was truly beneficial to anyone out there at the moment (because of COVID-19). I also wrote a blog post on 8 Ways to Start a Money-Making Blog because now is the time when a lot of people are looking for extra ways to earn income. So try to stick to something that is truly relevant with what is happening in the world.
3. SEO
Make sure your blog is fully SEO ready. Get Yoast if you haven’t already. It’s a huge help in that. SEO-ready blogs will be noticed by Google more often. Anytime you have extra time, you should be looking over past blogs (especially the ones with the most traffic) and ensuring they are up to speed with the best SEO practices.
4. Work on a Course You Can Offer Down the Road
Brainstorm, if nothing else…but try your best to come up with an idea for a course that your readers need and want and one that you can charge for. Include this as part of your sales funnel.
As far as courses go, working on your own course is not the only course you should be focusing on right now. I know, as bloggers, we all have a good 5-10 courses we want to take in the back of our mind at any given time. Now is the time to take those courses! The very best course I know of to take in order to make a successful, profitable blog is Blogging Blastoff 2.0. I took this course when I first started blogging and I am so glad I did. It helped me to start profiting 3 months after I launched my blog (and has helped me exponentially increase my profits in the 3 months since then)! A close second is Ell’s Pinterest Course which I just finished. If you’re wanting to drive more blog traffic, seeing as how Pinterest is the #1 way to drive traffic to your blog, Ell’s Course is a must-do!
5. Get Active in Facebook Groups
I have been doing this for ages but have noticed not all bloggers do it. It is highly recommended because it makes connections that you wouldn’t otherwise have and can lead to business deals very quickly – it lead to one of mine just a couple days ago! But do it for the right reasons. Be genuine. Help others out who are new. Join my Business Babes FB Group today by going here!
6. Be Real, Be You
Now is the time to show your readers and audience who you really are, especially during a time of great stress and isolation. Show them your worries, but also show them what you’re grateful for. Start a gratitude journal and share it with them. Share a picture of your messy house and tell them it’s ok. Show them who you are. This connection will last far beyond COVID-19.
Take Aways
