10 Awesome Outdoor Toys for Toddlers on Amazon in 2020
Hi friends! Thanks for joining me back here on the blog today. Today I want to share with you 10 awesome outdoor toys for toddlers on Amazon in 2020.
I have been seeing so many people ask in various Facebook Groups (as well as in-person Mom groups I’m a part of) what the best outdoor toys for toddlers and two- to three-year-olds are, so I decided to research and find the top toys!
The toys within this list will be primarily geared towards age 2 and 3, however many (if not all) of these toys are great outdoor toys for kids of all ages.
Make sure you check out my other round-up lists for toddlers & kids, including:

10 Awesome Outdoor Toys for Toddlers on Amazon in 2020
1. Jasonwell Sprinkler for Kids Splash Pad ā 4.5 | 161 Ratings
Jasonwell Sprinkler for Kids Splash Pad
Since summer is just around the corner, I thought I’d start with this splash pad as an outdoor toys first place!
I have personal experience with this splash pad as the girls I used to nanny for (for over 4 years) owned it (because I begged their parents for it!) and they absolutely loved it back then at 3 years old and 1 year old and still love it now at 6 years old and 4 years old!
This splash pad is great quality & super easy to set up no matter what kind of outdoor space you have.
It comes with a little pad that inflates around the edges to hold in water, and also has a sprinkler function around the edge as well, for max fun!
After about 4 years of constant use, this splash pad did get a little hole in it from a rock incident with the girls – but duct tape worked in patching it up and it’s still working just as well as it ever has!
Definitely a great purchase for parents with little ones in search of outdoor toys!

2. Green Toys Wagon Orange ā 5 | 535 Ratings
Green Toys Wagon Outdoor Toy Orange
This wagon is one that I purchased from Home Goods ages ago for my son (who is now 2.5 years old) and I absolutely adore it.
What I love most about it is that, since it’s a Green Toys toy, it’s made out of 100% recyclable materials. But, what I love second best about it is that it has a rope as a handle – versus a hard piece of plastic.
What’s nice about having the rope is that the wagon follows behind the child so easily – making running and turns and twists super doable with this wagon in tow.
Your child will absolutely love this wagon as an outdoor toys purchase and it is sure to hold up for years and year!

3. Strider 12 Sport Balance Bike ā 5 | 2,010 Ratings
Strider – 12 Sport Balance Bike,
Every toddler (nowadays) needs a balance bike in their collection of outdoor toys. Balance bikes are so good for teaching your child how to balance before putting that balancing with pedal pushing.
My son received his first balance bike for Christmas this past year (right at 2 years old) and it has been his favorite toy ever since then.
This balance bike is awesome because, for starters, it’s a Strider – which means you know the quality you are getting is going to be phenomenal.
It’s adjustable up to 5 years old (bonus!) and comes in super cute colors.
If you’re looking for something a little less expensive, I highly recommend this Chillafish Balance Bike. We purchased ours at Costco but you can buy it here now.

4. Meland Kids Camping Set with Tent ā 4.5 | 303 Ratings
Meland Kids Camping Set with Tent
This Meland Kids’ Camping Set with Tent is so adorable I can barely stand it!
If you have a toddler that loves the outdoors and outdoor toys as much as my son does, this is a must-buy.
This camping set comes with 24 pieces of all the necessary camping gear for your toddler’s pretend night away while camping! So cute!
It also comes with a life-size toddler-perfect tent that your child will surely love.
Meland is a great brand and we have bought other things from them before and have always been happy – so I know this will hold up for you throughout the years.

5. Husqvarna Leaf Blower Toy ā 4.5 | 1,472 Ratings
Husqvarna 589746401 Leaf Toy Plastic Blower
This leaf blower is every kid’s dream – that is, if they’re into lawn care as much as my son is!
We got this for him at the start of quarantine (as we thought he could use a new toy to keep him occupied during all of our downtime at home) and he has been obsessed with it ever since!
It actually blows air, which is so cool – but it also makes a real leaf blower sound!
The batteries last forever (we’ve had it for 2 months now and have yet to need to change them) and you can tell it is just really high quality.
This is a must-have for any child who loves the outdoors and loves lawn care days at home – perfect for outdoor toys!

6. Lifetime Kid’s Picnic Table ā 5 | 2,763 Ratings
Lifetime 280094 Kid’s Picnic Table
While this next item is not a toy – per say – it is something that your toddler absolutely needs if they are going to be spending any time outdoors!
This Lifetime Kid’s Picnic Table is so nice – and so sturdy. You will never need another picnic table for your children if you buy this one, promise!
We originally saw these at Costco last summer, but did not purchase it at the time (I wish we would have). However, our good friends (actually several of our good friends) got one for their children and they absolutely love it.
I’m trying to wait to see if Costco will bring them back over the summer – but if not, or if you simply want to get one today, the link is here!

7. Little Tikes 2-in-1 Swing Set ā 4.5 | 591 Ratings
Little Tikes 2-in-1 Snug N Secure
This swing is a must-have for anyone with children ages 6 months (that is when we first put our son in it) to 50 pounds.
This swing is so durable (I mean heck, it’s made by Little Tikes – one of the best!) and super cute yet super minimalist-looking.
It goes great in a swing set or in a tree, depending on what you have at home.
You can buy these straps here to customize the hanging length from your tree if needed.
I highly recommend this swing – my son loves it and has since he was a baby!

8. Backyard Discovery Sweetwater Cedar Play House ā 4.5 | 218 Ratings
Backyard Discovery Sweetwater All Cedar Wooden
If you are looking for the perfect little playhouse for your toddler (or even older kid), and even if you aren’t looking (ha!) this is the play house for you!
This play house is made of all cedar wood (can you just imagine the amazing smell of it?) and is super sturdy for years worth of wear and tear.
There are so many features to this play house, including:
- Play accessories inside including sink, stove, cordless phone and working doorbell
- Side snack window ideal for serving up drinks and other tasty treats
- Front features flowerpot holders (flowers and flower pots not included)
- & more!
Seriously, you need to check this one out and get it while it’s on sale! Your toddler will absolutely love it.

9. Little Tikes Cozy Coupe ā 4.5 | 4,970 Ratings
Little Tikes Cozy Coupe 30th Anniversary
Did you ever actually have a childhood if a Little Tikes Cozy Coupe wasn’t part of it? (Kidding, of course).
Seriously though, this is one of those outdoor toys that all children need to have. It’s the start of the thing we like to refer to as “independence” – and although we’re not always quite ready for this independence, our children certainly are.
What I love most about this car (other than the fact that it’s been around for so long that you know it’s good) is that there are no automatic driving mechanisms with it – so minimal injury is possible. For a mama who worries too much, this is perfect for my son.
You can also check it out in the truck style, and firetruck style, if you’re interested. I just prefer the classic red and yellow colors (plus it makes it easy for hand-me-down time later).

10. G & F Products Garden Tool Set ā 5 | 1,730 Ratings
G & F Products JustForKids Kids
Last but not least, especially if you’re the type of parent who is trying to instill responsibility in your child from an early age, is this nice set of garden tools just the perfect size for your toddler.
This set comes with a rake, spade, hoe, and leaf rake, and couldn’t be more perfect for the child who loves to help his mom and dad during yard work time!
This set is actually in my cart as we speak – we have yet to purchase this one.
What I like most about this set is that, at 27.5 inches tall, these tools are the perfect size to grow with your child even past the toddler years.

We are pretty minimal when it comes to our home and things inside it (technically we are minimalists, although some areas still need work) – and I like this type of approach to my child’s toys as well.
I like to have a good mix of practical toys that he can learn life lessons with, and toys that are simply just fun to play with (like #1).
This list, as I’m sure you can see, encompasses that type of range of toys in it.
